DEFENSIVE TACKLE

Florida State got a huge morale boost this offseason as defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. elected to return to Tallahassee for his senior season.

Jackson Jr. should be one of the leaders in the defense with defensive tackle Joshua Farmer and cornerback Azareye'h Thomas going off to the NFL. New defensive coordinator Tony White likes to run a multiple 3-3-5 defensive scheme.

The veteran should be perfect in the middle of the defense in 2025. However, I am not here to talk about Jackson Jr. Fans already talk enough about him for good reason. Coach White will try and disguise some coverages and confuse opposing offenses.

This means that four defensive linemen could be necessary, plus Darrell Jackson Jr. cannot play the entire game without any rest. One player at the position that the coaching staff has raved about this offseason at times is redshirt sophomore KJ Sampson. The former four-star prospect had ten total tackles last season, I expect him to have more of a significant role in 2025.

Pick: KJ Sampson
