DEFENSIVE END
The defensive line did not go as planned, as legendary head football coach Nick Saban stated that the Seminoles would have a top defensive line in college football in 2024. They had to rehaul the defensive end room with Patrick Payton going to LSU and Marvin Jones Jr. going to Oklahoma.
The Seminole fan base wants to talk about Nebraska's James Williams, who will be reunited with defensive line coach Terrance Knighton and defensive coordinator Tony White in Tallahassee.
However, the coaching staff did decide to add Western Kentucky defensive end transfer Deante McCray, who is originally from Jacksonville, Florida, and comes back to the Sunshine State.
The pass rusher had 59 tackles (three for loss) and 2.5 sacks last season. This should be an excellent opportunity for McCray to play in a defensive scheme that emphasizes physicality and aggression.
Pick: Deante McCray
