OFFENSIVE TACKLE

The coaching staff knows that it needs to prioritize the importance of protecting the signal-callers in the offense. Offensive tackles are so difficult to come by in today's landscape of college football

Former position coach Alex Atkins is now over at LSU after being relieved of his duties. The offensive line at Florida State has been quite the experiment. Current position coach Herb Hand has picked up transfers in the portal at the offensive tackle position, such as Vanderbilt's Gunnar Hansen and Ole Miss's Micah Pettus that should be bonafide starters.

Nonetheless, Hansen and Pettus get a ton of the discussion from the fan base with them likely being starters. But a player such as redshirt sophomore Lucas Simmons is not being talked about much.

Simmons was a former four-star prospect who is listed at 6'8" and 315 pounds. The Sweden native has had to take time to get adjusted to the collegiate game. I believe that this could be the time that he finally gets his feet wet in game action and pushes to be a starter in 2026.

Pick: Lucas Simmons
