WIDE RECEIVER

The wide receiver position was a question mark last season as the Seminoles' offense became a laughing stock. The coaching staff thought that it could bring in transfers such as Alabama's Malik Benson and LSU's Jalen Brown last offseason and it could fix some issues.

However, Benson and Brown are no longer on the Seminoles' roster and they decided to go out and add USC's Duce Robinson, Tennessee's Squirrel White, and North Carolina's Gavin Blackwell this time around.

The hope is that quarterback Thomas Castellanos can have reliable weapons to throw the football to. As it stands, I don't want to highlight a new transfer. They already get a ton of the glory and recognition.

One player that I am excited for was a player who was on the roster last year, sophomore pass catcher Lawayne McCoy. The 6'1" wide receiver only scratched the surface of what he could be in 2024. He only recorded six receptions for 52 yards, but I believe that he will have more opportunities to shine in 2025.
