LINEBACKER

Assistant coach John Papuchis will be navigating over to guide the linebacker position this season after the Seminoles have fired Randy Shannon.

I expect the linebacker position to be one of the strengths of the Florida State football team in 2025. The Seminoles picked up transfers at the position such as Memphis's Elijah Herring, Nebraska's Stefon Thompson, and North Carolina's Caleb LaVallee. ,

I believe that Herring will be the leader of the defense and, quite frankly, the top tackler as well. However, I am not here to discuss the former Tiger. I believe that the most underrated linebacker on the roster is redshirt junior Omar Graham Jr.

The former three-star prospect in the 2022 cycle recorded 37 total tackles (four for loss) and one sack. I know that some of the fan base lost hope in Omar Graham Jr. after his opening performance versus the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, but he bounced back massively.
