NEW COACHING STAFF

Florida State had that terrible season, which was well-documented. It became apparent that changes needed to be made. When Norvell explained that in his press conferences, some individuals thought that it could have been coach speak keeping the course and not changing much.

Throughout his career, Norvell has won at a high level. He now has to endure his second rebuild at Florida State in five years. This caused him to hit the reset button on a 2023 season that they thought could lead to sustainable success as a program.

I didn't know that Norvell would have enough in him to make major changes in his coaching staff. However, when your back is against the wall, I guess that is the best time to pull out all of the stops. It begs me to wonder if the program went 7-5/8-4 in 2024, would he have made the necessary changes to the staff with the mediocrity?

We don't have to worry about that now, as Florida State finished 2-10 on the year. Norvell went out and hired Gus Malzahn, Herb Hand, Tim Harris Jr., Tony White, Terrance Knighton, and Evan Cooper.

The new coaching staff has already created the buzz in the recruiting trail and has made a difference in terms of perception of the program. That should be a gift that all Florida State football fans are glad to receive.
