Randy Pittman
Some FSU fans may not be aware former UCF tight end Randy Pittman was a former FSU commit at one point. He was a three-star out of high school and a great case of why fans shouldn't get caught up in how many stars a player has in high school.
It's all about the coaches putting those players in positions to be successful. Gus Malzhan did that with Randy Pittman over the past two years, with a progressive increase in production from his freshman to sophomore seasons.
Pittman had 32 receptions and 416 receiving yards, and both would have been tops at FSU last year. His familiarity with Malzahn's offense gives him a leg up to contribute early, and I think he'll benefit from FSU's running game and the size they have at wide receiver.
Opposing teams may have to focus on those larger receivers, which could allow Pittman to fly under the radar to put up some surprising numbers in 2025.
