WR1 DUCE ROBINSON EMERGENCE

Florida State football added two wide receiver transfers last offseason in Alabama's Malik Benson and LSU's Jalen Brown (who are no longer on the Seminoles' roster). Both Benson and Brown were expected to be major contributors in 2024. However, just like the offense last season, they disappointed.

The coaching staff is hoping that the transfer portal haul of USC's Duce Robinson, Tennessee's Squirrel White, and North Carolina's Gavin Blackwell will be much better.

The one that I am most excited about is Robinson. His father (Dominic) used to play for the Seminoles, so Duce understands the expectations. With that said, Marvin Jones Jr. also used to have a father who played here, and we saw how that panned out. It doesn't mean everything.

The 6'6" pass catcher has emerged as a leader in the locker room, where he is one of the first guys to enter the facility and one of the last ones to leave. Robinson had 750 yards in his first two seasons with the USC Trojans. However, the thought is that the playmaker will be a safety blanket for quarterback Thomas Castellanos.
