DL JAYSON JENKINS

I will say that the talk of the offseason has been transfer pickups James Williams and Deante McCray. Williams is being reunited with defensive coordinator Tony White and defensive line coach Terrance Knighton from his tenure with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Even though Williams was utilized as a situational pass rusher at Nebraska in 2024, with five sacks. You can see that he is a very talented defender who is chomping at the bit to be unleashed. Meanwhile, McCray is someone that the staff has raved about recently with his versatility at both defensive tackle and defensive end with making "good strides".

As it stands, former Tennessee defensive lineman Jayson Jenkins is a player that the coaching staff is excited about, but he was injured. However, they have started to let him loose, and Jenkins is making plays for this Seminoles' defense.

The former SEC defender has recorded two sacks in his career at Tennessee, but he has the size and potential to be successful in his physical 3-3-5 defensive scheme. Overall, I hope that legendary coach Nick Saban gets his media access denied by the Seminoles and doesn't make a bold defensive line claim like he did last year.
