Three biggest FSU recruiting needs in 2026 class with season less than two weeks away

It'll probably have to be a good season on the field and flip city!

Defensive End/JACK

The defensive end or JACK position is the biggest need remaining by far. Not only does FSU not have any commitments at the position, but it never had a commitment during the entire recruiting cycle. They didn’t offer a ton of guys at the position and only had about 10-12 to take official visits.

They missed on the elite guys(not surprising after going 2-10) and were not willing to pay what some three-stars who may have tried to leverage them against other schools were asking for.

I don’t blame them for the latter and think the players they expanded their board with are as good or better than those three-star prospects.

They have four-star Jarius Rogers (Syracuse), three-star(and should be a four-star) Gustaf Henriks Ras, and Asharri Carr (Miami) taking an official visit for the Miami game. I really like those three targets. Three-star Chris Carbin (Georgia Tech) will also officially visit for the Miami game. Kamron Wilson (Syracuse) is another three-star from South Florida who’s a project, but has some tools to develop. DeAnthony Lafeyette (LSU) is another four-star that FSU was involved with not too long ago.

Overall thoughts

FSU can flip a few of these guys if they have a solid season on the field. I have them going 8-4 at worst(as long as they stay relativel healthy), and that should be enough to take a few of these in-state guys committed elsewhere.
