These are recruits that Florida State has a chance to flip.

DE KAMRON WILSON

Florida State football had the kiss of death last season when legendary head football coach Nick Saban stated that the Seminoles had one of the best defensive lines in the country. As it was clearly evident, Florida State was a disappointment.

Defensive line coach Terrance Knighton has had a productive unit that performed well versus Alabama and East Texas A&M. They might not have the can't-miss statistical numbers, but Florida State's defense is something to watch out for with the physicality and aggression from the defensive line.

Syracuse had a big opening loss to Tennessee and then escaped with a win over UConn in overtime, so the Orange are trying to live up to the expectations after their 10-win season in 2024. However, they have a defensive end prospect that the Seminoles are trying to flip in four-star defensive end Kamron Wilson.

Wilson was originally projected to commit to Florida State at one time, but he ended up pledging to Syracuse, and the program has been chasing for a flip ever since. Florida State will have him on a visit against Miami, so it will be important for the Seminoles to leave with a good impression.
