The NFL Draft did not go to plan for Florida State quarterback Thomas Castellanos. Once someone who felt like a lock to hear his name called late, he went undrafted. However, the Tennessee Titans have invited him to minicamp to see if he can make noise behind Cam Ward.
2026 NFL Draft reminds Florida State fans how much the program has fallen
Oh wait, scratch that. It's to see if he can be a playmaker catching the ball from Ward instead? That's right Castellanos indeed will be on his way to Tennessee for a rookie minicamp, but he's going to be lined up at wideout for the Titans. This is not what we expected, but Castellanos will see if maybe, just maybe he can stick with an NFL side at his new spot:
Interesting one: Florida State QB Tommy Castellanos has accepted an invite to #Titans rookie minicamp, but he’ll be listed as a WR, per sources.

I’m told he also plans to attend the #Dolphins rookie minicamp. That will also be as a WR. pic.twitter.com/GlMk2da1BS
Thomas Castellanos is headed to Tennessee for minicamp, but as a receiver
This really is something we didn't see coming, as insider Jordan Schultz was the one to break this news. Castellanos was a stud quarterback for Boston College, who then made his way to Florida State to try and get the Noles back on the right track.
His first game with FSU simply could not have gone better, as he powered the Seminoles to an unforgettable home win over Kalen DeBoer and Alabama. It was a shocking result and it had people calling for DeBoer's job in Tuscaloosa. Bama ended up reaching the CFP, while Florida State's season collapsed.
Castellanos ran out of magic and while he was hoping a team would take a shot on him in the draft, he, Diego Pavia and other veteran signal-callers didn't get the news they were hoping for. With that said, we all know Castellanos is a gamer.
He's going to do whatever is needed to help a team and he's incredibly coachable. This has once again been confirmed with him being open to a position change with the Titans. He's a longshot to make the Week 1 roster, but come on, FSU fans know better than to count this kid out. If anything, he'll use his draft snub as extra motivation to people who keep doubting him wrong.
