There's a good chance Thomas Castellanos will be living rent-free in Alabama's head for the rest of his life. And former Bama quarterback A.J. McCarron is evident of that.
McCarron wasn't a fan of Castellanos' comments when he made them and stood on that despite the fact that the Boston College transfer backed up every word of it in FSU's 31-17 win over the Crimson Tide.
Former Alabama QB AJ McCarron still doesn’t like Tommy Castellanos’ preseason comments 🤨

“I don’t take anything back, still think his comments are stupid, from a sense of it’s just not something you do as a quarterback.”
McCarron then hit on Castellanos’ passing game…

I'm surprised McCarron didn't just call Castellanos a 'poo-poo head' as well.
To be somewhat fair, the comments are taken a little out of context. I decided to listen to the first few minutes of "The Dynasty" podcast to get the full quote. '
"We talked about Tommy Castellanos earlier, and I don't take anything back, I still think his comments are stupid from a sense of it's just not something you do as a quarterback and you don't see many guys do it," McCarron said. "He said in his press conference at ACC Media Days that he meant no disrespect, but it was a message to his teammates that, 'hey this is the type of leader that I am, I'm not backing down from them, and we're going to carry this confidence and swagger', and they did. They rallied behind him."
The second quote, when heard in full, is more of a criticism of Alabama's defense than a comment on Castellanos skill set. You can listen to that if you want.
I would say they should've changed the name of the podcast from 'The Dynasty' to 'The Funeral' because the three hosts (McCarron, Trent Richardson and Chris Stewart) looked like they had just watched their program die in front of their faces. The whole thing was so sad and despondent.
The show also spoke to this unbelievable arrogance of the supporters of the Crimson Tide. Stewart mentioned that it was the 11th straight Alabama loss where the fans had rushed the field, the sort of flex that one pulls out when his team just got whipped to start the season.
Truth be told, maybe they are talking about a dead program.
And if that's the case, it's because Tommy Castellanos killed y'all!
