FOUR-STAR QB JADEN O'NEAL
Florida State football has had a difficult time securing quarterback prospects in the 2026 cycle. I was a fan of four-star signal-caller Brady Smigiel and what he could bring to the Seminoles' offense in the future.
However, when the program hired Gus Malzahn to be its offensive coordinator, Smigiel decided to back off of his pledge and then commit to Michigan, even though they have big plans with former five-star Bryce Underwood.
The Seminoles have struck out on options such as five-star Keisean Henderson (Houston commit), four-star Landon Duckworth, and four-star Bowe Bentley (Oklahoma commit).
However, the pieces of the puzzle started coming together as they finally had traction on four-star quarterback Jaden O'Neal from Mustang, Oklahoma, who was previously committed to Oklahoma. Thankfully, the Sooners went all-in on securing Bentley so that the Seminoles could have a chance at O'Neal.
Crystal ball predictions have been flying in for Florida State to land the four-star prospect after he came on an official visit on June 15th. It could only be a matter of time before the Seminoles land their guy.
