Florida State's 2027 recruiting class could receive a tough blow with four-star defensive back Ta'Shawn Poole officially visiting Georgia this weekend. Poole is a top-100 prospect in the cycle, so it would be disappointing for Florida State to strike out on him.

The Seminoles need to find a way to gain momentum despite the potential setback. Florida State saw four-star defensive back Mekhi Williams decommit from the program and pledge to Wisconsin. It isn't like the Badgers are a model team right now, but it shows how Mike Norvell and the front office need wins to be successful on the recruiting trail.

One method to bring happiness to the fan base is to secure the likes of four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune from Poplarville, Mississippi, who officially visited the Seminoles during the weekend of June 12th.

Four-star defensive lineman target Sam LeJeune has his announcement date of March 24th at 6:30 PM EST

LeJeune has already seen multiple crystal ball predictions for Florida State, but the fan base understands that high school recruiting has been a whirlwind for the program under Mike Norvell.

Many individuals didn't know where Florida State stood with LeJeune after he visited California, Washington, and Auburn, but the first-ever offer by the Seminoles, with the relationship that he has with the coaching staff, looks to be paying off nicely.

Florida State grabbed eight defensive linemen in the 2026 cycle and has already landed three in 2027. There seems to be a common theme, as the Seminoles want to emphasize the defensive trenches with prospects that defensive coordinator Tony White can fit into his system.

LeJeune has announced that he will be committing on Wednesday, June 24th at 6:30 PM EST. The Seminoles look to be finishing the month of June strong with three-star wide receiver Majay Thompson (committed), four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune on the 24th, and three-star running back Marquis Fennell on the 25th. This is a huge deal for Florida State recruiting.
