ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: RB OUSMANE KROMAH

I want to start by saying that I don't like hyping up players that have not even taken a snap in college yet. The change from high school to college is so much different. There are prospects across the country who have struggled with getting acclimated.

Former four-star running back prospect Ousmane Kromah is someone that the Seminoles' coaching staff has consistently raved about this offseason. Kromah has only been on campus since the summer, but the Georgia native already looks like the real deal.

Florida State was able to secure the prized recruit away from the home-state Georgia Bulldogs. Usually, if the Bulldogs want a prospect from the state of Georgia, they get them. However, the Seminoles got the best of Georgia in the recruitment and hope for a big return on investment.

The Seminoles only averaged 89.9 rushing yards per game in 2024, but Florida State knows that with Gus Malzahn, they want to run the football. Florida State also added former Oklahoma transfer Gavin Sawchuk to the mix, but Kromah is looking to be "the guy".

I am not suggesting that the true freshman will put up Cam Akers' 2017 numbers, where he recorded 1,024 yards and seven touchdowns. However, the youngster could be a special piece in this offense.
