MOST VALUABLE PLAYER: QB THOMAS CASTELLANOS
This isn't like you have quarterback Jordan Travis, wide receiver Keon Coleman, defensive linemen Jared Verse and Braden Fiske, or cornerback Renardo Green, like you did in 2023 to put down for the Seminoles' Most Valuable Player award winner in the preseason.
However, I believe that the selection of quarterback Thomas Castellanos makes the most sense for picking him to be the Most Valuable Player award.
Castellanos is a confident kid who is ready to find success in his reunion with former head football coach Gus Malzahn when the signal-caller was at UCF. The Georgia native is prepared for the moment to cap off a great season.
The quarterback feels wanted in a system that he feels comfortable in. This is largely different from his previous stint with Boston College under head football coach Bill O'Brien, where he tried to utilize him as a pro-style passer rather than one who was probably better suited for a West Coast system.
