Who are some underrated FSU players that need to be monitored for the future?
KENTRON POITIER
Florida State is having to replace some talented pieces in their wide receiver room with Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson. One of the reasons behind the Seminoles getting Coleman via the transfer portal is the fact that Kentron Poitier sustained an injury in the offseason.
Poitier was a former three-star prospect that head football coach Mike Norvell acquired during the 2020 recruiting cycle. The big-bodied playmaker showcased flashes of being an above-average player. However, injuries as well as inconsistencies have held him back.
The South Florida native recently had a jersey change where he will be wearing the No. 1 jersey in his senior season. During the 2023 season, Poitier only recorded 6 receptions for 136 yards. Ironically enough, he had 4 receptions for 84 yards in the Orange Bowl loss versus the Georgia Bulldogs.
Poitier has the potential to be a sizable contributor this upcoming season. However, he needs to piece everything together if he wants to be successful. This could be a great opportunity to make a name for himself in his senior year.
