Three seniors not being talked about enough for the Noles' 2024 football season

Florida State's defense will certainly be feeling the effects of losing safety Akeem Dent to graduation/NFL. The Seminoles had Dent as the "quarterback of the defense". When healthy, the upperclassman had the defense organized and ready to go.

Fast forward to the 2024 season, Shyheim Brown is taking over one of the starting safety spots. However, what happens to the safety to pair alongside him?

There are a couple of options that defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has at his disposal. The players include Conrad Hussey, Kevin Knowles II, Ashlynd Barker, and Devonte Brown.

Brown was added via the transfer portal from the Miami Hurricanes. The coaching staff heavily pursued the talented defensive back during the last offseason. However, he chose to commit and sign with Miami.

The skilled Devonte Brown was originally utilized at the cornerback position. However, while at Florida State, head football coach Mike Norvell stated that the veteran has been adjusting to moving over to the safety position. I wouldn't be surprised to see the former Miami transfer a starter at safety.
