FOUR-STAR S LADARIAN CLARDY

Florida State defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has done a tremendous job in recruiting the defensive backfield position with securing four-star prospects Charles Lester III, Jamari Howard, Cai Bates, and Ricky Knight III in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

The Seminoles have already landed four-star cornerback Gregory "Zae" Thomas and three-star safety Max Redmon. They are two prospects that could be difference-makers for the program going forward.

However, I do expect Florida State to secure at least one more prospect in the recruiting class at the position. I would focus on a recruit such as four-star safety Ladarian Clardy from Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida.

Clardy will be deciding on August 3rd between Florida State, Ole Miss, Washington, Mississippi State, and UCF. Honestly, I worry about Ole Miss the most. I am glad that Clardy did not include Miami in his top schools list.

I think the Seminoles do sit in a good position. However, they need to find a way to get him on campus for the July 27th recruiting weekend.
