MIKE NORVELL

Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell is slowly starting to become a household name in the coaching landscape. While he has not secured a national championship (yet), Norvell has turned the Seminoles' football program around in a short period where he has a combined 23-4 record over the last two seasons.

The fourth-year head football coach has always emphasized a sense of culture which stems to response. He tests his squads to battle through uncomfortable situations. This, in turn, strengthens their ability when things don't go their way.

It has been a long time coming for Norvell as a portion of the fan base was ready to give up on him after the program lost to FCS opponent Jacksonville State in 2021. However, Florida State AD Michael Alford decided to showcase a high level of patience in the process of building a sustainable program.

Norvell was even pursued by the Alabama Crimson Tide after legendary coach Nick Saban retired. However, the former Memphis head coach decided to stay put in Tallahassee and sign an extension with the university. He certainly has all of the tools to continue to keep his teams motivated at the task at hand.
