Three players that the Seminoles' coaching staff need to stay healthy
LB OMAR GRAHAM JR.
Florida State football will have its work cut out for them at the linebacker position as veterans Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune are now off to the NFL. Linebackers coach Randy Shannon is known for his development skills to get players up to speed.
However, he will be tasked with having just veteran DJ Lundy with real collegiate experience. Lundy committed to Colorado this past offseason, but he elected to return to Tallahassee for his senior season. While defensive coordinator Adam Fuller utilizes a 4-2-5 defensive scheme, the linebacker position is still vital in terms of stopping the run and covering in space.
One player that the coaching staff was excited about last offseason was linebacker Omar Graham Jr. However, he suffered an injury which hampered his development and ability to be successful. The program added transfers such as Shawn Murphy and Cam Riley plus have contributors such as Blake Nichelson, Justin Cryer, and DeMarco Ward.
It feels to me like Graham is being overshadowed through the acquisitions. However, I feel like this is his moment to shine with the coaching staff needing contributors to emerge in the position group.
