TE JACKSON WEST

Florida State football is having to replace the likes of tight end Jaheim Bell, who was the Seminoles' third-leading pass-catcher during the 2023 season. While Bell dealt with injuries throughout the season, he was a reliable weapon that the Seminoles could turn to.

We understand how vital the tight end position is for head football coach Mike Norvell. The tight ends in his offense can line up as in-line blockers, in the slot, and on the outside.

While the program still has senior Kyle Morlock, who transferred in from Division II Shorter University last season, it will have to find viable pieces to pair alongside. While true freshman Landen Thomas is starting to turn heads, it might be too much to ask for at such a young age.

One notable piece that I am monitoring is redshirt junior Jackson West. The former three-star prospect has battled with injuries and has not been able to contribute as a result. During the spring, he has finally been able to be consistent with not having a setback. This could be the season for West to emerge with his above-average blocking ability and being a playmaker in the open field.
