Three Florida State true freshmen football players took a fishing trip
Florida State football is less than eleven weeks before the Seminoles kick off in their 2024 season opener versus the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Dublin, Ireland. This will be a Seminole football team that fans will be closely monitoring with all of the newcomers.
Head football coach Mike Norvell does not want the program to take a step back and wants to have long-term sustainable success. The Seminoles will have their work cut out for them. However, it is doable if they set their mind to it.
Florida State added several new pieces to their roster via the recruiting trail and transfer portal. The coaching staff has found a perfect balance between the two that they like and stick with. During the dog days of summer, there is not much to do for the players other than workouts.
As a result, three true freshmen in running back Kameron Davis, defensive end Amaree Williams, and kicker Jake Weinberg decided to take their talents to the water as they tried to catch some fish and enjoy themselves.
Williams went to social media on Sunday afternoon to share the fishing trip that the teammates had together. While it is not football-related, this is an activity that these young men will cherish for the rest of their lives.
Plus, it could create an opportunity for even their future significant other and children to look back on later in their lives. That certainly isn't a bad haul by Williams as he attempted to catch everything in the water.
As it pertains to football, I believe that running back Kameron Davis could have an opportunity to get some significant snaps within the game plan with his size and speed. As it relates to Weinberg and Williams, I think they could be redshirt candidates this season (not because they are not good).
Regardless, I am excited for these young men to start their collegiate careers.
