OFFENSIVE TACKLE

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has a veteran offensive line position group this season where several contributors from a year ago decided to return to Tallahassee. This certainly helps with the development and overall strength of them.

Right tackle Jeremiah Byers returns for yet another season after transferring in from UTEP. There were moments during the 2023 season where he struggled to get acclimated, but he showcased flashes of being successful.

The versatile Darius Washington (that can play offensive tackle, offensive guard, and center) is back for his senior season. He is a Swiss Army Knife for this squad. When injuries occur, he can be placed anywhere. It certainly helps having an All-ACC caliber lineman in the bunch.

Plus, redshirt freshman Andre Otto has emerged as someone who has been cross-trained across the offensive line which could help with depth.

As for long-time contributor Robert Scott Jr., he has struggled to stay healthy. He missed the entire spring due to dealing with injuries. If Scott Jr. can ever crack the code of prevent injuries then the Seminoles would greatly benefit with their depth at tackle.

SOLUTION: Health of Robert Scott Jr.
