QB DJ Uiagalelei will be included in the upcoming NCAA Football video game
College football fans rejoice as the popular college football video game series will be returning this summer. It will be here before we know it! While I know ChopChat is a Florida State-based site, the Seminoles will be a team that many individuals should want to have an opportunity to play with.
Florida State had an undefeated regular season and a conference championship last year. Unfortunately, the College Football Playoff committee denied the Seminoles a chance to compete for a national championship, which led to a variety of opt-outs on the roster and resulted in a blowout Orange Bowl loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.
After the announcement that the college football video game would be making its return, several players across the college landscape posted their graphics stating that they would be in the game. As an incentive for being in the game, players would receive $600 and a copy of the video game (valued at $70).
I recently wrote an article highlighting three players on the Seminoles' roster who could make a case to be the highest overall on the team. It was a difficult decision given that Florida State added fifteen transfers this offseason.
One polarizing transfer to note is quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. Florida State knew that it wanted to get a veteran bridge signal caller to help the younger players such as Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek. Much of the talk this offseason was about whether the Seminoles would acquire Uiagalelei or Cameron Ward (who ended up at Miami).
On Sunday afternoon, Uiagalelei announced that he would be in the new college football video game. The veteran quarterback is on his third home in his collegiate career. Given Jordan Travis' improvement in his passing skillset within head football coach Mike Norvell's offensive scheme, this could be exactly what Uiagalelei to continue his dream of being in the NFL.
I know that the Seminole fans will enjoy playing with Uiagalelei as they showcase his strong arm to feature the many offensive playmakers on the roster.
