FSU football had numerous prospects on campus this past weekend for their Junior Day event. We at ChopChat decided to conduct a Q&A with Class of 2025 four-star running back target Byron Louis from American Heritage High School in Plantation (FL), who attended the Junior Day event.

Q: How was your visit to Florida State for their Junior Day event? What stood out to you about the trip?

A: "My visit was good. What stood out was the people in the coaching staff was how much they cared about all of you and not just the football player."

Q: What is your relationship like with running backs coach David Johnson? Do you have any other relationships with members of the staff?

A: "My relationship is good, and yes I have a great relationship with Coach Norvell."

Q: What sticks out to you about the Seminoles?

A: "The fact that when I visited two years ago where Coach Norvell told me that they are going to one of the best teams in the country."

Q: As a running back, what do you believe are some of the strengths in your game?

A: "I believe that my knowledge of the game is my ability to pre-read plays and how I am a downhill runner."

Q: What was it like receiving an offer from Florida State?

A: "It was amazing knowing that a top team in my state is rocking with me."

Q: Do you have any more plans visiting Florida State in the near future?

A: I will definitely be back, I am not sure when.

Q: With the visit finished, where do the Seminoles stack up in your recruitment? Are they considered one of the top schools for you?

A: "They are definitely a top contender in my books."
