Q&A with Class of 2025 four-star defensive tackle commit Kevin Wynn
Florida State football recently got a commitment from Class of 2025 four-star defensive tackle Kevin Wynn from Greene County High School in Greensboro, Georgia. We at Chop conducted a Q&A with the talented defender.
Q: How was it like receiving your first-ever offer from Florida State?
A: "I was more shocked than anything because that was my first year coming back to football."
Q: What stood out to you the most about the Seminoles?
A: "The people, the players, the coaching styles, the defensive line, Coach Odell Haggins, and Coach Norvell."
Q: What was it like committing to Florida State? How did Coach Norvell react to the news?
A: "Committing to Florida State just felt natural and Coach Norvell, when I told him in the room, he was like "Where am I going?" "Where am I going to commit?" And then I started doing the NOLES chant with my arm and he was like "Are you joking with me or not?" And I said "No, I'm serious". He slammed his hands on the desk and screamed "Oh yeah!"
Q: Defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins has been a staple in the program for years. What is your relationship like with him and what are you most excited about being coached by him?
A: "Coach Odell has been recruiting me since ninth grade and he has consistently shown love and being coached by him would be amazing because I already fit in the defensive scheme. I wouldn't have to change because it's the same thing I do now."
Q: What is your message for other recruits that are considering the Seminoles?
A" Come home! You see I did a lot of the work coming in already. 2025 will be a special class. This is a matter of all of us together playing. I see a lot of freshman All-Americans!"
We thank Kevin for taking the time out of his day to answer the questions for us!
