FOUR-STAR CB GREGORY THOMAS

Florida State does not have a defensive back prospect committed to their 2025 recruiting class. Defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has exerted his recruiting prowess during the 2024 cycle where they secured pledges from Charles Lester III, Ricky Knight III, Jamari Howard, and Cai Bates.

I know that the fan base is still upset over the recruitment of five-star safety KJ Bolden where he flipped from Florida State to Georgia. However, Surtain Sr. is still one of the better recruiters on the coaching staff. He has also developed the defensive backfield on the roster.

One prospect to monitor is four-star cornerback/safety Gregory Thomas from American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida. This has been a prospect that has been linked to the Seminoles for a while since he has received several predictions in favor of Florida State.

Thomas has a great relationship with Surtain Sr. given that he was formerly the head football coach at American Heritage High School. It is important to note that Thomas is officially visiting Tallahassee during the weekend of June 21st. The Seminoles could officially finish the deal with the talented defensive back.
