FOUR-STAR DT MYRON CHARLES

Florida State defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins is regarded as one of the best assistant coaches in all of college football. Haggins has been with the Seminoles for over 25 years. There are not a ton of programs that have the longevity with their position coaches.

Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell preaches a family-like atmosphere. It is important that these players and even recruits have a consistent voice to lean to. This is a message that resonates with a variety of highly-touted prospects.

The Seminoles will have to replace talented defensive tackle pieces from the 2023 squad such as Braden Fiske, Fabien Lovett Sr., Malcolm Ray, Ayobami Tifase, and Dennis Briggs Jr.

This is an adjustment period as players such as Darrell Jackson Jr. Joshua Farmer, Grady Kelly, Tomiwa Durojaiye, Daniel Lyons, KJ Sampson Jr., and others in the rotation at the position. With that being said, there is no guarantee that the Seminoles will have many of those pieces in 2025.

One prospect to monitor is four-star defensive tackle Myron Charles from Port Charlotte High School in Port Charlotte, Florida. He has received several predictions in favor of Florida State where he views them as a top school. He will be officially visiting Tallahassee on the weekend of June 21st.
