WR'S JA'KHI DOUGLAS AND HYKEEM WILLIAMS SHOWED FLASHES

Florida State's wide receiving core was underwhelming for the majority of the 2024 season. However, with the quarterback change from DJ Uiagalelei to Brock Glenn, you saw flashes that we were not accustomed to.

This is what happens when you have a new voice as a signal caller. I am not suggesting or bad-mouthing DJ Uiagalelei, but this is a squad that needed a change to hopefully spark an offense that was struggling.

Two playmakers at wide receiver that Glenn leaned to were veteran Ja'Khi Douglas and youngster Hykeem Williams. We know that Douglas always comes up in the clutch, as he caught a touchdown in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 10 with nine and a half minutes to go.

As for Williams, he was a consistent weapon on the outside. The former five-star prospect struggled to find his purpose in the offense. However, he recorded four receptions for 53 yards, and it could be just the confidence booster that he needs for the remainder of the season.
