WR MALIK BENSON

Florida State knew that it had to replace the likes of superstar pass catchers such as Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson. It won't be easy as both of them were the top-two receiving options for the football team in 2023.

Coleman and Wilson are no longer in the garnet and gold and are both in the NFL. Wide receivers coach Ron Dugans knew that he needed to find targets in the transfer portal to give transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei more weapons to throw the football to.

The Seminoles decided to pick up Alabama's Malik Benson and LSU's Jalen Brown. Speaking of Benson, he did produce as much as he would have liked during his time with the Crimson Tide. However, fans could see his breakaway speed and playmaking ability that could be useful in the offense.

Benson injured himself in the spring showcase last month. Fans were nervous that it could be serious. However, Norvell alluded to the fact that it was not season-ending. Benson should be in contention to be the number one wide option in the offense.
