Mike Norvell speaks to the media before the Seminoles' 2024 Spring Showcase
QB DJ UIAGALELEI GETTING COMFORTABLE IN THE OFFENSE
Florida State made a huge splash in the offseason where they acquired the services of former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback transfer DJ Uiagalelei. The reasoning behind securing Uiagalelei was to bridge the gap between the younger options in Glenn, Kromenhoek, and Jackson.
It is great to see Uiagalelei continuing to learn the offense after only being here for the past four months. The coaching staff seems pleased with what they have seen. The offense has showcased flashes in the past couple of weeks of being really good. Uiagalelei is doing everything that the coaching staff is asking him to do. Norvell thinks that the veteran has gotten better.
Speaking of the younger options, as I alluded to in a previous article, both redshirt freshman Brock Glenn and true freshman Luke Kromenhoek will be out for the remainder of the spring after dealing with "minor injuries". This allows an opportunity for the former four-star prospect Trever Jackson to properly grow and develop.
Norvell alluded to the fact that Jackson has been thrown into the fire and has got a lot of work. He is trying to learn the offense at a fast pace. Even though he still has a lot of work to do, Norvell stated that he is a talented young man.
