Mike Norvell addressed the team with text message thread after the CFP snub
Florida State football accomplished a ton of success during the 2023 season, which consisted of having an undefeated regular season plus an ACC Championship.
It was everything that Seminole fans dreamed of as Florida State had its best season since former quarterback Jameis Winston and company did so in 2014. With possessing a 13-0 record, many individuals felt that the Seminoles would have enough to make the four-team College Football Playoff.
However, on that Sunday afternoon, the College Football Playoff committee did the unthinkable as they decided to place a one-loss SEC champion Alabama Crimson Tide (that lost to Texas at home by two possessions) over an undefeated ACC champion Florida State Seminoles.
The committee deemed the season-ending injury to do-it-all signal caller Jordan Travis as a hindrance for the Seminoles' ability to be successful in the "invitational". It was heartbreaking for head football coach Mike Norvell and his squad as they did everything that could possibly do as a team to survive and advance.
On Wednesday, ESPN's Andrea Adelson decided to write a piece featuring how Florida State's football program is moving forward after the College Football Playoff snub.

In the piece, she included a screenshot of head football coach Mike Norvell's text message that was sent to the team after the snub.
This had to be a difficult circumstance that Norvell had to address to his team so that they could battle through adversity with Jordan Travis suffering the injury and doing everything that needed to be done, just for it to not matter. However, Norvell continues to showcase his message of battling through what life has in store for us.
I realize that many fans have hatred for ESPN after the playoff snub (especially toward analyst Kirk Herbstreit). However, it is worth mentioning that Andrea Adelson has been one of the Seminoles' biggest supporters. She should be recognized for showcasing the feelings that Florida State went through during those difficult moments.
