Florida State has been very successful over the past two seasons where it has a combined 23-4 record. Even though the Seminoles did not have the outcome that it would have liked versus the Georgia Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl as they were defeated by a score of 63-3, they have still enjoyed their successes as a program recently.

All of that positivity might have officially come to an end.

We at ChopChat always attempt to promote our passion for our beloved Noles to connect with a variety of fans. However, the train might be coming to an end as the Canadian rapper Drake posted on his Instagram account Saturday night with him in a Florida State jersey.

Drake has been known to curse sports teams with the jerseys, shirts, or hats that he wears. It is widely referred to as the "Drake Curse".

In regards to the Florida State jersey that he is wearing, former Seminoles' fullback James Coleman believes that the rapper is wearing a Carver Donaldson #88 game-used white jersey from the Orange Bowl.

For reference, Donaldson played tight end for the Florida State Seminoles from 1997-2001 and recorded seven receptions for 93 yards and zero touchdowns.

The two notable sports teams that he has cursed have been the Raptors (he is from the area and he used to sit courtside during their home games) and Kentucky (he used to attend a high amount of games and they have not won a championship since 2012).

Florida State has enjoyed a high variety of success with head football coach Mike Norvell at the helm. It would be unfortunate to see #TheDrakeCurse take its toll on such a proud program. However, I want fans to understand that even if this curse runs its course, the program will still be more relevant than the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes.
