BATTLING THROUGH ADVERSITY

The performance shakes resilience and ability to overcome adversity from both Wright and the rest of her team. Florida State would continue that momentum through the rest of the season as they were on their way to another NCAA Tournament appearance.

The Seminoles fell to Notre Dame in the ACC Tournament. Luckily, they looked to put the loss behind them and prepare for another deep tournament run. Florida Stage believed they were better than what they were the previous year.

Also, Wright wanted to close her college career in style and hold a championship trophy. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Florida State managed to defeat Little Rock in the first round while ultimately falling to Buffalo in the second round.

The second-round loss was the end of Imani Wright’s two-year tenure with the Florida State Seminoles. Although she went out after a 21-point loss, the program wanted to remember her for the great things she did for the team. She averaged a career-high 16.3 points per game and continued to be a huge factor for Florida State as a senior.

Wright had to say goodbye to Tallahassee after two seasons. But she finished her career as an All-ACC First Team member and had the record for most three-pointers in a single season in Florida State history.
