PATIENCE IS KEY

Wright had to wait to make her debut as a Florida State Seminole due to transfer rules. Luckily, she would eventually be ready to go at the start of the 2016-17 season to help her team reach success.

From the beginning, Wright was a key asset to the Seminoles. It wasn’t only about how she contributed on the court but off the court as well. She provided tremendous leadership and did a great job of leading by example.

Wright made her Seminoles debut on November 11, 2016, against Jackson State. The game was played at the Donald L. Tucker Center so it was a great opportunity for fans to watch her compete on the regular season stage. Truth be told, they were impressed with her production.

Wright scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Florida State’s win over the Gamecocks. She later followed it up with 25 points in a loss against UConn. As the season continued, Wright showed her true value from multiple aspects of the game. Yes, people respected her shooting ability. But Wright also managed to be a great hustle player and do little things to help her team win.
