Elite Transfer Portal Pitcher

Elite pitching is the key ingredient to winning at an elite level. We saw it with FSU and Kathryn Sandercock in 2023. The FSU offense was good, but it was solid defense and Sandercock who carried the torch to win several close-ball games. FSU must land at least one elite transfer portal pitcher for the 2025 season. Would that influence Makenna Reid or Danley to enter the transfer portal? It shouldn't since Coach Alameda has shown the ability to use multiple pitchers at a high level in past seasons. There would be more than enough innings to go around and would help keep everyone fresh for the postseason.

It's the approach FSU used in 2023, with Kathryn Sandercock leading the way. A ton of talented and experienced players have entered the transfer portal already. I know FSU looked to add someone of this caliber from the portal last year and couldn't get it done. I'm not sure if it was NIL-related, but they must do whatever it takes if they want to continue competing for titles. They have gone up against Oklahoma and lost in the last two years. The biggest difference between the teams has been pitching and offensive firepower. Lonni Alameda is an elite coach because they've been competitive with less overall talent against Oklahoma. It's time to close that gap and move to elite status again.
