TE AMAREE WILLIAMS

During the recruiting cycle, Florida State had a great opportunity to get five-star athlete Amaree Williams. He was a 2025 prospect who could re-classify to the 2024 cycle. The Seminoles were recruiting him as a defensive end.

It is a lot to expect from a 17-year-old who most fans did not think that Williams would make a difference in Year 1. However, the coaching staff decided to switch his position to tight end since his body wasn't quite ready for the defensive end position.

Williams even enrolled at the university in the summer and continued to turn the heads of the coaching staff and the media that attended practice. Veterans Kyle Morlock, Brian Courtney, and Jackson West were listed as the pieces in the tight-end rotation. However, they have all underperformed (Morlock played better versus Memphis).

I think that it would be wise to have packages for Williams in the receiving game going forward to see what you have in him to hopefully spark offensive production.
