FSU football fans have had a lot to discuss over the past month. The team won the ACC for the first time since 2014 and got snubbed from the College Football Playoff less than 24 hours later. A couple of high-profile recruiting commits decided to go elsewhere near the end of the recruiting cycle. The Orange Bowl exhibition and transfer portal recruiting have been popular. However, the news of all the FSU football coaches receiving extensions days ago has been the hottest topic lately. Some coaches have underperformed when it comes to high school recruiting, according to a few fans, and they want those coaches replaced with better recruiters.

Some fans have a fixation with high school recruiting rankings. Other fans embrace transfer portal recruiting, and some understand coaches likely need a solid mixture between the two avenues in recruiting. FSU football will indeed lose a ton of top talent from its roster. Several guys will hear their names called in the 2024 NFL Draft, and other experienced players will exhaust eligibility or have entered the transfer portal. The 2024 season was always going to be a bridge-type season after so many guys decided to return and make a go at winning the ACC and a National Title in 2023. However, when you look at the roster, I think it's in much better shape than most realize, especially when you compare it to where FSU was going into the 2022 season when they won 10 games. Let's take a look at everything and see if you agree.
