Final Thoughts

When we look back and see the obstacles FSU had to overcome and the caliber of players who were realistic to get into the program, the hit rate is outstanding. It shows the coaching staff's ability to evaluate talent is outstanding, but also their player development. It's one thing to get talent, but to put the talent in a position to flourish is what matters. FSU signed 57 players between the 2021 and 2022 recruiting classes. FSU had 58 percent of those players who became starters, contributed in the two-deep, or have the potential to contribute in 2024.

An amazing 23 percent of those 57 became All-ACC players, and two were affected by medical issues. That leaves 20 who never contributed much and transferred from the program, and eight of those were offensive linemen or defensive tackles(they usually take 1-2 years to develop and make an impact. I think this bodes well for the future under Mike Norvell, with how the 2023, 2024, and 2025 classes are trending. They can attract top-tier high school talent and have a proven track record and multiple positions with the transfer portal. The future is bright in Tallahassee.
