FSU football head coach Mike Norvell had a tough road to tow in his first couple of years at FSU. We've discussed the challenges of inheriting a program with a bad culture, a lack of overall talent, and attempting to recruit during a global pandemic that prevented face-to-face interaction from March 2020 until June 2021. I've looked at the 2021 and 2022 recruiting classes before, but with more time, there's a larger sample set to accurately gauge how successful those recruiting classes were for Mike Norvell.

What's promising is although there has been a lot of attrition, there have also been contributions from several players, and it's possible some players who haven't contributed have the potential to in 2024. I've documented the improvement from high school recruiting classes year over year. If FSU got this level of contributions from less heralded players, I can only imagine what they'll get from the higher-caliber guys they signed in 2023 and 2024 and who they're recruiting in 2025. Here are my hit rates for the guys from 2021 and 2022.
