FSU Football: Top 5 Potential Offensive Playmakers for 2024 Season
1. DJ Uiagalelei
Losing a special player like Jordan Travis has not been easy. He has been the heart and soul of the team, amounting for a lot of FSU's success within the past two seasons. But as the old saying goes 'the show must go on.'
Thankfully, Mike Norvell addressed the quarterback concerns quickly by acquiring DJ Uiagalelei from the transfer portal. Being the top transfer quarterback in 2024, expectations are high for the Hawaiian native. Last season, he paid dividends for Oregon State with 2,638 yards, 21 touchdowns, a 81.0 QBR, and only 7 interceptions.
With one year of college eligibility left, Uiagalelei brings experience and consistency to the table. Being a dual-threat quarterback is also a plus. With those qualities considered, he will adjust well with the offense especially with Norvell's RPO scheme. Plus, he has a loaded roster to work with which helps tremendously.
Moving on from Jordan Travis is a bummer. But with the acquisition of DJ Uiagalelei, the Seminoles should have no problem continuing to pursue greatness.
