FSU Linebackers

One segment group with the biggest question marks that we haven't heard a lot mentioned is the linebacker unit. The Noles are replacing both starters, Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune. DJ Lundy returns as the most experienced player, serving primarily on running-downs last year. FSU brought in Alabama transfer Shawn Murphy and has several young guys like Omar Graham Jr., Blake Nichelson, Justin Cryer, and DeMarco Ward looking to make an impact.

Of course, the media won't have access to the scrimmage and will have to rely on what Coach Norvell and others who are at practice wish to share for information. I'm curious what the narrative will be with this linebacker unit. Norvell usually spends quite candidly about position groups in post-practice interviews. Will the linebackers come up as a unit that flashed but lacked consistency? Will any names get mentioned as taking the next step needed to fill one of the voids left by DeLoach or Bethune? This unit will be the least experienced going into the season, and they need guys to emerge quickly.
