Jarrian Jones-Transfer

Do you want to talk about a player who had a lot of talent but got hampered by injuries, disliked by most FSU fans due to poor play, only to get healthy and become a major contributor, beloved by fans and a high NFL Draft selection? Look no further than Jarrian Jones. Jones was the No. 220 player nationally and the No. 18 safety, who signed with Mississippi State out of high school. He transferred to FSU after one season with mixed results. Jones played in eight games in 2020, 12 with six starts in 2021, 12 games with 10 starts in 2022 (awarded FSU’s Defensive Most Improved Player award), and 12 with nine starts in 2023. He was Honorable Mention All-ACC and one of the top nickel corners in the nation, shutting down several top receivers during the season. Jones became a third-round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft.
