Johnny Wilson-Transfer

Johnny Wilson has been one of my favorite players in the Mike Norvell era. Wilson was the No. 116 player overall and No. 21 wide receiver out of high school. He was clearly talented but dealt with injuries and the pandemic after signing with Arizona State out of high school. Ironically, FSU was the only team willing to take a chance on him when he entered the portal. I remember folks criticizing the take because some Pac-12 coaches didn't believe he could play. I said it was a ridiculous take, and they were wrong. Wilson tallied 18 receptions for 243 yards and one touchdown in two years at Arizona State. His numbers from the Louisville and Oklahoma games in 2022 would destroy his numbers from Arizona State. Wilson was Second Team All-ACC in 2022 and Third Team All-ACC in 2023 and selected in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. None of that likely happen if he doesn't transfer to the Noles.
