No. 6 FSU will average 6.75 yards per play offensively

FSU had had one of the more explosive offenses nationally in the past two years. The Noles averaged 6.96 yards per play in 2022 and 6.26 in 2023. The latter number got skewed heavily once Jordan Travis was lost for the season against North Alabama. Most of the players responsible for those explosive plays are no longer on the roster. Trey Benson, Johnny Wilson, Jordan Travis, Keon Coleman, and Jaheim Bell, just to name a few.

However, the improvement of the offensive line and ample stable of running backs should provide a solid baseline. I don't expect many negative plays relatively speaking with the revamped offensive line and DJ Uiagalelei isn't known for taking too many sacks. FSU has elite speed at the receiver position and DJ Uiagalelei has a cannon for an arm. FSU also has running backs who can participate in the passing game, forming mismatches against linebackers in space. All of these ingredients should create opportunities for explosive plays.
