FSU football: Three underrated transfer signings for the Seminoles this offseason

I realize that the running back position has somewhat diminished in its importance throughout the years. However, running the football is a staple of Mike Norvell's offensive system.
Florida State is losing redshirt junior Trey Benson after he declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. They also have redshirt sophomore CJ Campbell Jr. and redshirt freshman Rodney Hill transferring from the program.
In conclusion, the coaching staff have backs in their rotation such as Caziah Holmes, Lawrance Toafili, Jaylin Lucas, Kameron Davis, Micahi Danzy, and Samuel Singleton Jr. None of these running backs have showcased the ability to be bellcows.
Inserting Alabama senior running back Roydell Williams. Just like Florida interior offensive lineman Richie Leonard IV, the Seminoles were able to land him after he officially visited over the weekend.
Wiliams had a productive 2023 season with the Crimson Tide where he recorded 111 carries for 560 yards and five touchdowns. He entered the portal before head football coach Nick Saban announced that he would be retiring. However, it seems like he wanted a better opportunity and FSU looked to be the best possible option.
This is a win-win situation for Florida State. Williams could allow the younger backs to develop such as Samuel Singleton Jr., Kameron Davis, and Micahi Danzy. Plus, he has the potential to be the starting running back in 2024.
