Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Sadly, FSU and Georgia Tech don't have more history between the schools since they are so close. The Yellow Jackets were only a couple of years removed from sharing a National Title when the Noles joined the ACC in the early 90s, and the overall series is close, with FSU holding a 15-11-1 advantage. However, seven wins came before Bobby Bowden assumed the helm at FSU. The Noles have dominated the series since, but those other four losses have been memorable, and those Georgia Tech fans are quick to point to those as some saving grace for their mediocrity over the years. Paul Johnson's triple-option offense went through Mickey Andrew's defense in his final season in Tallahassee and didn't punt once in a 49-44 shootout.

Then there's the infamous blocked field goal returned for a touchdown to defeat an undefeated FSU on the final play of the game in 2015. The last installment in the series was the first game in the Mike Norvell era, where FSU led Georgia Tech 10-0 at halftime and allowed the Yellow Jackets to come back and win 16-13. Georgia Tech fans love to bring up these few games on social media anytime because their quarterback then was a former FSU commit, Jeff Sims. All in all, Georgia Tech fans don't have a ton to be vocal about. They are not particularly good in any sport, but we'll see how much they want to talk when FSU opens the 2024 season against Georgia in Dublin, Ireland
