FSU football: Ranking the top 10 WORST fanbases in the ACC
By Kelvin Hunt
North Carolina Tarheels
FSU and UNC haven't met too many times on the football field, it's only been 21 times. The Noles are 17-3-1 against the Tarheels, with UNC going 0-11-1 in the first 12 meetings. One of the first times FSU drew the ire of UNC fans was when FSU basketball's Sam Cassell said their crowd at the Dean Dome was a "cheese and wine" crowd the first time FSU went to Chapel Hill and upset the Tarheels after joining the ACC. I was born and raised in North Carolina and know how they view FSU. Most UNC fans accept inferiority in football but also have been beaten by FSU enough in basketball that they have to respect the program.
FSU has dominated North Carolina in baseball overall and has overtaken UNC's women's soccer program as the most dominant program in the conference over the past decade. In fact, they were largely silent leading up to the MCWS elimination game a few days ago, where FSU eliminated the reigning ACC regular season champions. Of all the schools in North Carolina, the Tarheels seem to know their role the best and understand that FSU is superior at nearly every sport that matters.
